Mediterranean, a family owned and operated business, opened its doors to Houston in January 2005. Under the culinary direction of siblings Jimy, Nano, and Mira Fakhoury, Mary’z has become a successful restaurant establishment.
The Fakhoury family was originally born and raised in northern Lebanon, but one day decided to begin a new chapter across the globe in Houston. After a few years of venturing into different occupations, they finally decided to settle on what felt like home, food. Food is what they think of when remembering their childhood. From births, to christenings, to holidays – they have memories of Mary striving for hours in the kitchen and not sitting down to eat until her family’s bellies were full.
After 20 years in the business, and the second generation now running their restaurant locations, the family’s mission continues to be the same - having each customer genuinely enjoy their time visiting their restaurants as much as they enjoy providing customers the flavors they deserve.
